WHAT IS A GRAPHIC ORGANISER?

 > A brief plan of key content around an integrating theme or topic.

WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?
 
 > To provide an overview of the teaching plan.
 > To show how learning areas may be integrated.

HOW IS IT USED?
 
 > Apply the format to gather and organise ideas on a new topic.
 > Place in the front of files to help coordinate teaching plans.
 > Distribute to students to inform them of the learning plan.
 > Display a poster version in the classroom for parent information.

HOW IS IT PREPARED?

 > Either:
    > Modify an existing Graphic Organiser, or
    > Start with the blank template in the 'Planning Templates' folder.
 > Use the format to coordinate collaborative teacher planning
    discussions.
