Time Organisation
After
the learning program has been developed, processes for time organisation are
applied.

Proformas’ can be used to divide curriculum sub-sections into time segments.

Schedule formats
Various time schedules formats are provided:
Process for organising time
Begin
with the large time frames eg Terms throughout the Year, then subsections can
be broken down into smaller and smaller time-frames.
Terms throughout the Year
Primary
planners may use the ‘Unit / term / Year Matrix.
· Open the provided matrix.
· Delete units not required. Type in chosen units.
· Copy and paste the
document into ‘My Planning Documents’ (Red Folder)
· Export the document to
the Central Document Set.
Secondary
teachers may use the Term formats to select topics that distribute the learning
area program across four terms – to ensure full coverage throughout the year.
Weeks within the term
· Examine the Scope and
Sequence chart.
· Select and divide
subsections from the chart into four broad time-frames. Ie termal breakdown
· Copy and paste a term’s
work into the left column of the Week / term planner.
· Copy and paste the
outcomes into the boxes at the top of the schedule
· Subdivide the sections
into weekly units.
· Add the resources / page
numbers.. to be used each week.
Weekly timetable
The weekly time-table can be used to summarise the learning
program for the week.

Hyperlink key words back to the Curriculum Organiser
Daily planner
· Select the Day planner.
· Re-arrange headings to
suit your personal planning style eg one column can be for What to teach and
the second column for How to teach, With what.
· Hyperlinking can be used
to connect brief titles to the full planning document.
As planning
documents are prepared they can be copied and pasted into the ‘My Planning
Documents’ so that all current plans are in one location.
